Polymer Clay Crystal Tutorial – Part One – Cutting Crystals

Lots of people suggested this tutorial on Instagram, so here it is!

I had also filmed a heap of colouring methods, but that part of the video corrupted (grr!) so I’ll have to re-film it. I figured I’d get this part up for you guys now 🙂

I think the trick to making the crystals look really awesome is to avoid fingerprints – make sure you use a nice sharp blade so that the facets will look glassy after glazing.

The little figurines at the beginning were all glazed with Sculpey Gloss. I highly recommend this glaze as it is very easy to use and really hasn’t given me any trouble (unlike pretty much every other glaze I’ve ever tried!).
